'Afternoon Quote #2' (2023)
This afternoon quote, present at the second edition of ‘Parade ,the public event’ in the form of a short video, has become the common thread of an ongoing research and creation of the artists Stéphanie Lagarde, for the 2024 event, of which the textile piece here is a reduced-scale sketch experiment.
'Afternoon quote' (2022)
Stéphanie Lagarde’s projection ‘Afternoon Quote’ presented during the ‘Parade, the public event’ in 2022. It depicts the essential figure of an inhabitant connected to the village since her childhood at the heart of the project Radicale 1924, Sylvia Zade Routier. A phrase taken from a discussion in April 2022 in the house of Sylvia Zade Routier is displayed here. The power of Sylvia’s words resonated with the artist's inquiry on the place of love in our society which are undermined by inequalities (social, racial and gender) and by the structures of domination at work on every political level.
